STEP 19:

Of all the 19 steps to building an affiliate business empire, Th's the one that matters most. Do you know why? There are few things in life that frighten people more than the unknown. Many folks prefer the status quo in their life even if that means living below the poverty line, in a bad relationship, or in a terrible dead end job. The preference for the devil one knows, despite the heat and pitchfork pokes, is often chosen over the key to a better life. It's time to change those less than desirable circumstances.

It's very easy to settle for a less than ideal life. It's also not hard to get into a rut where efforts to make changes are few and far between. Often attempts at life improvement are ridiculed by others; or result in failure leaving the person discouraged and unwilling to try again. Fear of failure and of ridicule are powerful agents at removing one's motivation and this fear is rubbing and rubbishing peoples future and destiny. Its just a mental obstacle that's all.

Here are some dont’s to help you solve the mental obstacles:
  1. Don’t wait for the perfect time or situation.
You should not wait for a perfect time to come or until the situation is perfect because the situation will never get perfect and the perfect time is endless. No matter how or when you see it, there will always be something lacking, something that makes you think again.
  2. Don’t wait for people or expect people to agree with your idea.Just as you shouldn’t wait for the time or situation to be perfect, you shouldn’t wait until everybody agrees with your idea. There will always be opposition, and that is perfectly normal. If you wait until there is a consensus, you will never start.
  3. Don’t wait until your skill is good.
This is another thing that keeps people waiting forever. You might think that you need to acquire all or even good skills before you start doing something. But the truth is that, you get to learn and acquire much more by doing than by waiting to have it. Doing allows you to hone your skill much faster than just learning the theory.
As you can see, the three points above have “don’t wait” in them. So here is the bottom line: the best time to start is now!
I learned this in my blogging start. When I started blogging, with blogger of-course, I didn’t have the skill to create good content nor to market it properly. But I started blogging anyway. The first months were really tough. I learn by trial and error from one thing to another. After blogging for many months, I got only ten subscribers. Thankfully, but the experience taught me a lot. While there is still a lot of room for improvement, I’m now amazed to see what I’ve learned along the way and i have this blog (lots of work still need to be done i know).

Right now for you, I suggest you go back and read through this affiliate program tutorial again. Remember the part that says 'don't be in a rush'.
Picture yourself owning a successful Internet business already. Picture yourself opening letters and finding checks in them. Picture yourself going into your PayPal account and seeing the latest commissions you've been paid by affiliate merchants.
Imagine enjoying yourself spending the money, perhaps even giving up your day job so that you can concentrate on your own business.
Now take the first step.
And when you've quit your day job, please write and tell me. I love getting emails like that.

I love you and thank you for staying on my site.

Chris
